A truly homemade record, I Heard was recorded in a basement on Long Island in the summer of 2002 with other tracks laid down during a road trip to Mass. I Heard reveals a variety of influences, from Beatles and altcountry ("Single Song") to psychedelia ("3M") to disco ("Rollerderby"). The idea was to produce a toy box of sounds and musical ideas -- and so it is more a sprawling sound collage than just a record. Enjoy.
